There is also a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wired.com\/wired\/archive\/4.12\/ffglass_pr.html\">link<\/a> to a rather long article on the history of undersea cables written by one of my favourite writers &#8211; Neal Stephenson &#8211; when the first cable was laid.<\/p>\n<p>And does anyone know why I am not affected at all sitting here in Hyderabad? Neither my home nor my office connection is affected.
