The actual Bombay Bloggers Meet of July 2005

Update: Cancelled because of rains.
As I was saying, the Bombay Bloggers Meet for July will actually take place. It will take place on the 31st of July, which is a Sunday. I was saying that we have chosen a venue for the Meet. It will be held at Prithvi Theatre.

Wait a minute! I hear you ask. Isn’t that a somewhat unusual place for a Bloggers Meet? Apparently, no. I am told that there is a restaurant at the premises, where food and coffee can be had. If the location proves unsuitable, there are many other places nearby where more coffee can be had. Therefore, it has been decided (after extensive and wide-ranging discussions) that that is where we shall all meet. The only downside to the venue is that newcomers can no longer adopt the usual heuristic to find the table where the Bloggers are sitting, viz. check for the table where the people look the weirdest. Hence we shall find some other way of identifying ourselves.

What else? Yes, the address. This is what I have been able to find:

Janki Kutir
Juhu Church Road,
Mumbai
and the time of the meet is 3 PM as usual. Unfortunately, apart from this, I have no idea how to get there. But I am sure I can find a way, and so can you. Thank you.

  2. I know about Prithvi Theatre. I just don’t know how to get there. Incidentally, Bombay Bloggers Meet is the name of the Meet. I usually call the city Mumbai.

  3. can even novice two-posts-so-far bloggers come? does it help if one has been a lurker for… a fairly long time?

  4. If you can find the place, you can come. We are an inclusive group. We do not discriminate on the basis of number of posts. In fact there is a well-documented case of a person who came only because he looked like a blogger. He started blogging the week after the Meet.

  7. We are supposed to be literate and wise bloggers groups that is what I was thinking till now but the venue suddenly changed my pointof view.

    When Mumbai is facing the worst hit time in its history and 100 s are dieing we feel to go to Prithvi to talk because there is a Restairants.

    Feels like we awakened souls of internet are becoming page 3 items of internet.Isn’t it better to meet some where we can contribute in terms of civic ,social or monetory help.

    Lets prove that we Bloggers can do something more than typing keys for our Blogs
