Hold the presses

I can see that there are serious differences among the Cartelian co-ordinates (Any suggestions for names of Members of the Cartel that does not involve math geekery?) on the issue of Sonia and her foreign origins. I think that Sonia Gandhi is enough of a disaster for the country as it is, and her origins make it worse.

This is to announce that we at The Examined Life shall come up with a reasoned justification of why Sonia’s origins matter. Plus: Examined Life exclusive! Sonia Gandhi’s job interview techniques!

  1. Yes, indeed the cartel opinion is fractured on this one.

That’s because the “legal” and “constitutional” position on the issue is clear, and not really debatable. Sonia Gandhi is eligible to be PM.

It is the emotional issue that is dividing opinion.

  2. And I generally thought “rule of law” was an important part of libertarianism. Ravi, you having second thoughts on that? 😉

  3. And BTW, if election verdicts are fractured, I’m sure the famed AnarCapLib cartel can survive a few cracks.

  4. Keep the pomegranate part of the cartel to yourself, Yaz. 😉

You also are aware that we libs have campaigned for certain laws to be changed (laws criminalising homosexual acts, for instance), so just because a law exists, it doesn’t mean we have to agree with all of it.

  5. MadMan, campaigning for laws to be changed is well within the rule of law.

And methinks the AnarCapLib cartel was first formed while all of you were guest blogging . . . on AnarCapLib

The Anar part is mild when we consider the word “cartel” — quite unfree and all 😉

  6. Here’s few suggestions to call all of you cartelians, and maybe, i can do the camel act and hedge my head inside.

    Libidos. 😉
