Naturally when it found that the throne had been stolen, there was panic in the kingdom. The king sent search parties all over the place. One of them actually managed to find one of the counts who had come to steal the throne. They captured him and brought him to to the king. The king asked the count where the throne was. The count refused to answer. Whereupon the king ordered that the count be tortured till he gave out the information. Even though he was subject to horrible travails, the count refused to divulge where the throne was. Exasperated, the king threatened to have him executed. The count still refused. So he was taken to the guillotine and told that if he did not speak on the count of three, the blade would fall on him. The count kept refusing till the last second when the blade was brought close to his neck. Just at that moment, he opened his mouth. Unfortunately, it was too late then, the blade went down and did its job.
