Kunal is correct. I had seen a documentary about the “White Rajahs” of Sarawak before. They ruled until WWII.
You’re both right. It was James Brooke of Sarawak (or Serawak), Malaysia.
William King – known perhaps more as husband of Ada, Countess of Lovelace (yeah, the language was named after her)
